Lawyers, Judges & Jesus

I don’t know about the rest of you but when you put those three words together into one thought its trouble. Jesus expected it and tried to encourage His followers to expect it as well;

Luke 21:12-15 "But before all these things, they will lay their hands on you and will persecute you, delivering you to the synagogues and prisons, bringing you before kings and governors for My name's sake. "It will lead to an opportunity for your testimony. "So make up your minds not to prepare beforehand to defend yourselves; for I will give you utterance and wisdom which none of your opponents will be able to resist or refute.

My point in all of this is to remind all of us that we are to expect these types of actions when we proclaim truth to warn some of the wayward saints of the disaster that awaits them if they continue down the path of this Emergent Church. You will be maligned and threatened with lawsuits and perhaps even physically assaulted………but remember……that’s what happened to Jesus.

I use this book in several of the sessions in the seminars I conduct and in two of the courses I have taught at Changed By Grace College. I would highly recommend that you have this book in your “preparation” library.

Let us also be obedient in remembering those in prayer as they stand faithfully and proclaim the truth knowing full well that it will cost them something.

I am adding this link on this "Practical Stand" BLOG because it speaks greatly of the need we all have to do a "spiritual reality check". This article from Apprising Ministries really causes its readers to observe very carefully this Emergent Church craze (or should I say SCHEME) but then to challenge the reader to look into the roots.
